It is clear that West Ham want to sign a new striker this month.
The Hammers have been linked with plenty of names, but perhaps the most exciting one is AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek.
Italian media outlet Corriere Della Sera claimed two days ago that West Ham are keen on signing the Poland international.
And these claims were corroborated by reliable Hammers insider, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast on Tuesday night (January 6th).
The 24-year-old hitman joined Milan from Genoa this time last year for around £31 million (Sky Sports), but he has struggled to establish himself at the San Siro, with just 15 goals in 39 appearances to his name thus far.
The form that he showed during his time with Genoa, however, just goes to show that he has what it takes to succeed at the very highest level. He scored 19 goals in 21 games there.
The prospect of Piatek linking up with Sebastien Haller is surely an exciting one for West Ham fans.
Or is it?
Some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation, and seemed to be split on the idea of their club signing the Milan striker…
