West Ham joint chairman David Gold has taken to Twitter to send a message to Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Ukraine winger collapsed against Tottenham at the weekend and had to be stretchered off.

And it has since emerged that he has undergone surgery, repairing his Achilles tendon injury.

Yarmolenko is likely to spend six months out injured and he is the latest to join the injury list at West Ham.

With Manuel Lanzini and several others out, West Ham’s squad has been depleted.

Yarmolenko is the latest player to face a spell on the sidelines. And it will be a lengthy one. We may not see the attacker return this season.

But Gold has told his followers that he will personally offer his support to Yarmolenko. Moreover, he wishes him a quick recovery.

However, some West Ham fans have taken this opportunity to plead with Gold for some January spending.

With several injuries, the Hammers could do with some reinforcements. Here are what the fans said on Twitter.
