ExWHUemployee has suggested on Twitter that Craig Dawson has been impressing in training. And some Hammers fans have reacted on Twitter to the insider’s claim.
David Moyes brought the 30-year-old defender to the London Stadium from Watford on a season-long loan last month.
Dawson is still yet to make his debut for West Ham, however.
The West Ham defence is currently very much settled, and it pretty much picks itself.
Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell and Fabian Balbuena have been absolutely rock solid in the last few games.
It seems as though the only way that Dawson will get a game this season is if one of those three names suffer an injury.
Ogbonna is a slight injury scare ahead of next weekend’s clash with Sheffield United. But even then, Issa Diop would come in as his replacement.
It does beg the question…why did we bother signing Dawson in the first place? He earns £40k-a-week at the London Stadium according to Football League FC. So as things stand, that seems like a real waste of money.
Nevertheless, ExWHUemployee has claimed that the 30-year-old has been impressing David Moyes in training.
Fair play to Dawson then. It must be tough for him not getting a chance to show what he is capable of on the pitch.
