Ryan Fredericks played 79 minutes in West Ham’s win over Manchester United. He produced another assured right-back display to help West Ham to three clean sheets on the bounce in the league.
Fredericks was given the toughest task on the pitch in Sunday’s clash at The London Stadium. Man United summer signing Daniel James has been the man in form and he has terrorised defenders with his pace, skill and eye for goal.
But Fredericks barely gave James a sniff throughout the game. The Hammers defender used his speed to counter the rapid Welshman, who was unable to get Man United on the scoresheet.

Unfortunately, Fredericks had to limp off with just over 10 minutes remaining. Pablo Zabaleta replaced him and West Ham fans will be hoping for good news on the injury front. Reliable insider EXWHUEmployee believes it is “nothing serious” – which will be a major boost.
West Ham fans praised all of the players after the 2-0 win against the Red Devils. Fredericks was flooded with messages after the match and here are some of the best tweets.
