Benitez now has just one win in nine games. He is on a dire run after guiding Dalian Yifang to mid-table earlier during his spell in China. As a result, there have been whispers that he could get the sack.

Meanwhile, back in England, he is a target for West Ham again. The Guardian reports that Chris Hughton and Benitez are among the candidates considered by West Ham to replace Manuel Pellegrini.
West Ham are just one place above the relegation zone after a torrid winless run, stretching back to September. Pellegrini’s future is in doubt and Benitez might be the man to replace him.
