West Ham fans are desperate to see Nathan Holland in the first-team after another brace.

Holland rattled in two goals for West Ham’s U23 team, who moved six points clear at the top of their league. The young Hammers beat Swansea City 4-2 with in-form duo Anthony Scully and Dan Kemp also scoring.

Manuel Pellegrini has continually snubbed Holland when picking his Premier League squads. The 21-year-old could be the missing link in the side, given his pace, skill and eye for goal.

But Pellegrini clearly does not trust Holland. The former Everton winger’s only outing this season was in the 4-0 loss against Oxford United in the EFL Cup. He now deserves a first-team call-up.

Holland to inspire first-team?

West Ham are without a win since the 2-0 victory over Manchester United. Saturday’s loss against Newcastle United signified a new low for the Irons. It showed a lack of progress.

Pellegrini needs something special to spark a turnaround for the Irons. This is when you look for inspiration from an unexpected source and Holland is the perfect candidate to provide that.
