West Ham winger Nathan Holland scored a stunning goal for the U23 team to push his first-team claims. The 21-year-old has already provided two assists in two games for the U23 team this season and he added a goal to his collection.
Holland came on as a substitute in the friendly match against Brentford B. And his impressive goal earned the Hammers a draw late on as he made it 2-2. Now, he is really knocking on Manuel Pellegrini’s door.

The former Everton winger returned from a lengthy injury last season and thrived in the U23 team. His tally of two goals and eight assists in 11 league games caught the eye. Many West Ham fans wanted to see him get a first-team chance before the end of the season but the closest he came was at Old Trafford, where he was an unused substitute.
Holland joined West Ham’s squad in pre-season but was not taken to China and he did not play in any friendlies. However, his early-season form will fire a timely reminder to Pellegrini.
Here are some tweets from Hammers fans reacting to Holland’s latest goal.
