For the third consecutive pre-season game, Manuel Lanzini got on the scoresheet. Lanzini scored in West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao at The London Stadium on Saturday.

Lanzini poked in from close-range after Pablo Fornals sent an overhead kick into his path to pull West Ham to within a goal. Jack Wilshere equalised shortly after but the Hammers lost on penalties at the end of the Betway Cup.

West Ham fans will be delighted to see Lanzini in top form ahead of the new season. The Argentina international has scored three goals in three games and will be hoping to hit the ground running in the 2019/20 campaign.

He started will a well-taken goal against Fulham at Craven Cottage from outside of the box. Then, the 26-year-old scored in West Ham’s win over Hertha Berlin. Lanzini made it three in three at the London Stadium in West Ham’s final pre-season match.

Next Saturday, Lanzini will almost certainly start as West Ham host champions Manchester City in East London. Lanzini could play a major role this season after missing more than half of the last campaign.

Here are some tweets from West Ham fans discussing Lanzini’s performance.
