Jordan Hugill scored his second goal of the season but Queens Park Rangers fell to defeat. In Wednesday night’s Championship clash with Swansea City, Hugill scored QPR’s only goal in the 3-1 loss.

Swansea took a first-half lead through Bersant Celina. But before that, Hugill nearly got on the scoresheet. It would have been a ‘goal of the season’ contender as he chested down a corner and unleashed a volley which went just over the bar.

QPR went into half-time 1-0 down. But Hugill brought the West London side back level at Loftus Road. With 66 minutes on the clock, the 27-year-old rose highest to head in Ilias Chair’s cross.

The Hoops were only level for four minutes before Borja Baston scored a penalty. Sam Surridge, on loan from Bournemouth, sealed the victory for the Welsh club. QPR now have four points from four games.

Despite their struggles, Hugill has looked bright. The West Ham striker was not given a chance and was sent out on loan by Manuel Pellegrini this summer. After scoring on his debut against Stoke City, he now has two in four. Here are some tweets from Hammers fans reacting to this.
