West Ham gave a decent account of themselves against Liverpool at Anfield today.
They showed far more attacking intent than they did away at Manchester City on Wednesday night.
And one player in particular drew praise from the Hammers fans – Tomas Soucek.
The Czech Republic international joined West Ham on loan until the end of the season from Slavia Prague in January.
The Hammers also allegedly have the option to make the deal a permanent one in the summer.
And Soucek has really impressed during his first three games in a Hammers shirt.
The 24-year-old has a real engine. He just doesn’t stop running. And he is a really useful asset at both ends of the pitch.
The Czech ace has added some much-needed athleticism, power and energy to West Ham’s play in the middle of the park.
Soucek has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water. And he deserves a lot of credit for that, considering how hard it is to arrive in England from a slower paced foreign league.
Some West Ham fans were absolutely delighted with his performance against Liverpool tonight…
