The 23-year-old Hammers winger absolutely worked his socks off against City.
And his tireless work-rate was invaluable for West Ham today against Pep Guardiola’s mobile and tactically fluid side.
David Moyes brought Bowen to the London Stadium from Hull City in January for around £22 million (The Guardian).
And he has already proven to be a huge hit in east London.
The 23-year-old is an incredibly hard worker and he fits perfectly into David Moyes’s team ethic. But that’s not the only string to his bow.
Bowen possesses exceptional quality as well and has an absolute wand of a left foot.
The former Hull City ace has racked up four goals and four assists in 18 games for West Ham so far (Transfermarkt).
Bowen, who earns £50k-a-week according to the Hull Daily Mail, gives us added impetus in the wide right attacking department. And he has already proved to be well worth the £22 million that we paid for him 10 months ago.
Strangely, the left-footed winger was brought off after 68 minutes. Perhaps he had a slight knock, who knows.
