West Ham United fans have been venting their spleens en masse this evening after a wide open FA Cup draw that WOULD have seen them face arch rivals Millwall.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini told the press he is ‘ashamed’ of his side after their dismal 4-2 defeat to League One basement boys AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday (Sky Sports).
It was one of the worst performances and results in West Ham’s modern history.

Hammers would have been third favourites for wide open FA Cup
And it denied the Hammers a place in the fifth round draw of what is one of the most wide-open FA Cup competitions for decades.
Chelsea and Manchester United face off meaning only one will advance to the last eight where they will probably be joined by favourites Manchester City.
Beyond that West Ham would have been third favourites had they qualified.
And in the last 16 they would have faced none other than bitter rivals Millwall, who were drawn to face AFC Wimbledon.

It would have been Millwall
The balls for the draw are numbered by tie. That means West Ham would have welcomed Millwall to the London Stadium for the first time.
While the Met Police will be breathing a sigh of relief, Hammers fans are not.
Supporters flooded fans’ forums and social media savaging the club for not being in the last 16.
Here are some of the comments from Twitter. See the full draw at the bottom of this article.

‘If only West Ham took it more seriously’
