Felipe Anderson was subbed off yet again as West Ham drew with Sheffield United.

Manuel Pellegrini hooked Anderson on 66 minutes, replacing him with out-of-form Manuel Lanzini. Three minutes later, Lys Mousset equalised for the visitors as the game ended 1-1.

Anderson was not at his best on the day but he does have the ability to create something. West Ham fans questioned Pellegrini’s decision to take the skilful Brazilian off.

Pellegrini made some intriguing selection decisions on Saturday. In-form players like Ryan Fredericks and Angelo Ogbonna were dropped for Pablo Zabaleta and Fabian Balbuena.

Flair players like Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals were dropped for more reliable options such as Andriy Yarmolenko and Robert Snodgrass. Then, Pellegrini’s subs were also questionable.

He took Anderson off when Sheffield United were clearly worried about his threat. Lanzini did little to worry the Blades defence after coming on. Late in the game, Snodgrass – who was the best player on the day – was taken off for Albian Ajeti.

Here are some West Ham fans on Twitter talking about Pellegrini subbing Anderson off.
