Andriy Yarmolenko scored twice as West Ham registered their first points of the season.

West Ham beat Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park, with Marko Arnautovic getting the other goal.

That restored the two-goal lead that Gylfi Sigurdsson had halved on the stroke of half-time.

But it was Yarmolenko’s day for the Hammers. The Ukraine international scored a penalty for his country during the break and took his form into the Everton game.

Making his first Premier League start, Yarmolenko took the chance with both hands.

Just 10 minutes into the game, he got on the end of Arnautovic’s square pass to coolly slot past Jordan Pickford.

And the 28-year-old doubled the visitors’ advantage just after the half hour mark. After receiving the ball on the right, Yarmolenko cut inside onto his favoured left foot and hit a stunning strike into the net.

Here are how West Ham fans reacted as Yarmolenko shone in his first league start.
