With Sheffield United back in the Premier League next season, the Carlos Tevez rivalry will kickstart again. And West Ham fans have come up with a way of taunting Sheffield United fans on their next trip to Bramall Lane.
As posted by West Ham fan account @irons_united on Twitter, Tevez masks are on sale for just £1.99 from ‘Celebrity Facemasks’.
West Ham fans will immediately look for the Sheffield United away trip. And there could be thousands of East Londoners wearing Tevez masks in Sheffield that day.
Carlos Tevez relegates Sheffield United
Sheffield United are back in the top-flight for the first time since the 2006/07 season. This was when the controversial Tevez saga happened.
Tevez was partially owned by agent Kia Joorabchian’s company and Sheffield United felt aggrieved to finish below the Irons that season.
The Argentina striker scored the winning goal at Old Trafford to seal West Ham’s safety on the final day as Sheffield United lost to Wigan Athletic.

West Ham have since paid £20m in compensation to Sheffield United (The Independent) who dropped down to League One before two promotions in three seasons.
There is still heartfelt animosity between the two clubs. And this is likely to come to the surface when the two teams meet in the Premier League next season.
But West Ham fans are planning to remind Sheffield United fans of that 2006/07 season by wearing Tevez masks at the game.
