West Ham fans left seething as Manuel Pellegrini dodges Roberto question after Spurs loss

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini refused to talk about Roberto in his post-match press conference, as reported by Football London.

Roberto produced another terrible performance between the sticks as West Ham lost to Tottenham Hotspur. The Hammers went 3-0 down for the third game running, although two late goals made the scoreline look a bit more respectable.

Pellegrini decided to stick with Roberto between the sticks. Since Lukasz Fabianski suffered an injury, Roberto has produced a string of awful displays and West Ham have not won a single game.

David Martin is waiting in the wings but Pellegrini kept the faith with Roberto. However, the Spaniard was easily beaten for two of Spurs’ three goals. Then, Pellegrini refused to discuss the goalkeeper situation.

Pellegrini said (via Football London): “I don’t want to talk about Roberto or individual performance.” When prompted to answer whether he is West Ham’s best goalkeeping option, Pellegrini added: “If he is playing, it is because he is.”

West Ham fans were fuming with these comments because he is taking no responsibility for poor team selections. Here are some tweets about this.
