West Ham fans hear it from the horse's mouth as Manuel Pellegrini delivers Manuel Lanzini verdict in triple update

West Ham United fans have been anxiously waiting news over Manuel Lanzini’s injury situation.

The Hammers travel to rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday looking to try and end the season on a high.

Manuel Pellegrini has been hampered by a Premier League-worst injury list all season.

And when key midfield playmaker Lanzini limped off against Manchester United recently it was feared his season could be over.

Speculation this week suggested the Argentine could be back sooner than expected.

“For this week, Jack Wilshere has continued without problem,” Pellegrini told whufc.com.

“Manuel Lanzini has returned to training with our squad. So has Javier Hernandez. Samir Nasri, could be next week.”

That will be music to the ears of supporters.

Lanzini was a sore miss all season and had been working his way back to full fitness when he picked up a groin strain against the Red Devils.

But it appears he will be back in the squad, and possibly the starting XI on Saturday.
