The Scot’s priority should be strengthening his defence and centre-forward department over the next nine days.
But it could be argued that central midfield is an area of weakness as well, especially if Declan Rice is sold, god forbid.
And Chelsea ace Ruben Loftus-Cheek would surely be a very useful addition for us. Even if the 24-year-old moves to the London Stadium on a temporary deal.
The 10-capped England international only made seven Premier League appearances for Frank Lampard’s side last season, having missed the majority of the campaign through injury.
In those outings he only recorded one assist and no goals. But the season before, RLC racked up six goals and two assists in 24 games for Chelsea (Who Scored).
Perhaps a loan move away from Stamford Bridge would be a good move for the 24-year-old this summer.
And some West Ham fans are very excited at the prospect of Loftus-Cheek rocking up at the London Stadium before next month’s transfer deadline…
