According to a report from the Mirror (10 June, page 47), West Ham boss David Moyes is eyeing a double raid on Nottingham Forest for Matty Cash and Joe Worrall this summer. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The east London outfit will be keen to bolster their defensive ranks this summer. And in particular, right-back and centre-back are two positions that need attention.
Jeremy Ngakia is set to leave West Ham at the end of this month. And Pablo Zabaleta will leave at the end of the season. Ryan Fredericks, meanwhile, has failed to impress at the London Stadium.

At centre-back, Winston Reid and Issa Diop have been linked with summer exits from the Hammers. Fabian Balbuena, meanwhile, has been truly awful this season.
And Angelo Ogbonna, as impressive as he has been this term, has recently turned 32.
So bringing in Nottingham Forest duo Matty Cash and Joe Worrall would make sense.

West Ham might have to pay up to £36 million to secure the signings of the 22 and 23-year-olds, however.
Worrall could cost £18 million (Football Insider), whilst Forest may demand the same fee for Cash (the Sun).
And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation…

Stop complaining both would be quality signings for us

Worrall was absolute garbage for Rangers, would be a terrible signing!

Been an absolute monster in the championship this season, would be a very good backup for Ogbonna and Diop.

No problems with either of these two.
Cash is a good player who would seriously push Fredericks for a starting spot, and Worrall seems a decent enough defender from what I’ve seen of him. https://t.co/8iLdPOwFFa

Ain’t got a clue who Worall is , with Deffo take Cash though, what a player.

Obviously with money being tight and the covid climate giving these types of players a chance in the prem might be the next step. you look at Kante and mahrez both played in lower leagues, look at them now I think this is the right step for the club.
