We moved from Upton Park to the London Stadium in order to compete with the biggest clubs in the world.

David Sullivan and David Gold sold that dream. We were happy at Upton Park. Most of us reluctantly accepted the move to Stratford, however, in the hope that our dreams of playing in the Champions League could be fulfilled.

West Ham falling behind rivals

Sure, the global health crisis has affected every single club financially. Other clubs have spent heavily, however.

Southampton laid out £34 million, Everton splashed out £66 million and Leicester brought in three players for around £65 million.

Clubs of similar stature to West Ham outperforming us in the transfer market. – it has become a common theme.

Claret and Hugh’s claim suggesting that any signings in January will be unlikely is just another slap in the face to the fans.

It is clear that Sullivan and Gold don’t have the ambition to take the Hammers forward. They need to sell up as soon as possible.

And perhaps then we can go on to fulfil our undoubted potential as a football club.
