West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in their numbers in reaction to Jesse Lingard being named as the Premier League player of the month for April.

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January.
And Lingard has proven to be an absolutely sensational addition for West Ham.

Jesse was nominated for the Premier League player of the month award in February and March.
Unfortunately for Lingard, he missed out both times to Ilkay Gundogan and Kelechi Iheanacho respectively.

It could be argued that Jesse was actually far better and more consistent in February and March than he was in April.

He was certainly very quiet in our last two games of the month against Chelsea and Newcastle United respectively.
It cannot be argued that Jesse deserves the award, however! About time eh!
