Some West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter to Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho suggesting that David Moyes’s side will fall down the league during the final third of the season.

The Hammers play host to Spurs at the London Stadium tomorrow in what is obviously a hugely important game for both sides.

David Moyes has worked wonders at West Ham. His team are currently sitting pretty in fifth spot in the Premier League table.

We are currently four places and six points clear of Tottenham. Sunday is a real opportunity for us to stretch that gap to nine points.

Mourinho suggested that West Ham will begin to fall down the league during the final 14 games of the season, however, when speaking to the club’s official Youtube account:

“They are doing very well. I believe that in the end of the season their position and our position, they are not going to be the same as where we are now.”

 

Moyes should be posting those words up on the wall of the changing room before the West Ham players take to the pitch against Spurs.

The Spurs boss may well have just made a very big mistake.

The Hammers players are already extremely motivated and desperate to earn European qualification this season.

Comments like the ones made by Jose will only serve to motivate the West Ham players even more ahead of tomorrow’s game at the London Stadium. And if they don’t, there is something very wrong.
