West Ham fans absolutely rage at Nathaniel Clyne claims

According to an exclusive report from Read Liverpool, West Ham have made an approach to sign Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne. And some Hammers fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to the speculation.

David Moyes will need to bring a new right-back to the London Stadium this summer.

Pablo Zabaleta will definitely be leaving when his contract expires at the end of the season. Jeremy Ngakia, meanwhile, is almost certain to walk away on a free transfer.

On top of those problems, Ryan Fredericks has failed to impress for West Ham.

Read Liverpool claims that the Hammers have already made contact with the representatives of Liverpool star Nathaniel Clyne.

The 29-year-old will be available on a free transfer, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp not even prepared to extend his current deal beyond June 30th (Read Liverpool).

The £70k-a-week ace (Spotrac) has played second fiddle to Trent Alexander-Arnold since the youngster burst onto the scene at Anfield.

In 185 Premier League appearances, the right-back has racked up an impressive 471 tackles, with a success rate of 69%. He has also made 276 interceptions and chalked up 30 blocked shots (premierleague.com).

In those games, the 29-year-old has whipped in 467 crosses and completed 252 accurate long balls (premierleague.com).

Clyne has experienced terrible problems with injuries over the past few years, however. The last thing West Ham need is another injury prone, ageing player on a massive salary.
