According to a report from Argentinian media outlet El Intransigente, River Plate only need to sell one out of West Ham and Leeds targets Gonzalo Montiel and Lucas Martinez Quarta.

And that might mean that the Hammers or the Whites miss out on one of their key transfer targets this summer.
Marca claims that West Ham had a £6.4 million bid rejected for the 23-year-old right-back earlier this month.
According to a report from Argentinian outlet TyC Sports, however, David Moyes is set to make an increased offer worth £9 million in an attempt to bring the Argentina international to the London Stadium.
Meanwhile, El Intransigente suggested that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa wants to bring £18 million-rated River Plate ace Lucas Martinez Quarta to Elland Road.
It seems as though only one of the two Premier League clubs will get their way this summer, however.
River need to sell just one
El Intransigente reckon that River Plate only need to sell one out of the two players, as they need to raise just £7.7 million this summer to balance the books.
So considering the respective valuations of Montiel and Quarta, it seems as though West Ham might get lucky at Leeds’ expense.
Montiel would be a great addition for the Hammers. Whilst missing out on Quarta would be an undoubted blow for the Whites.
Perhaps a timely boost is on the horizon for West Ham fans.
Don’t be too disconcerted though Leeds fans. There’s plenty more fish in the sea. And with an ambitious board and a wonderfully exciting manager, you have nothing to worry about.
