The Mirror reported earlier this year that the Hammers want to sign the Bournemouth ace in the summer.
David Moyes will be looking for more quality wide attacking options at the end of the season. The problem for the Scot is that it is unlikely that he’ll be given lavish funds due to the ongoing global health crisis.
So West Ham will surely be on the look-out for a bargain.
And Fraser would certainly have been that.
The 26-year-old will be available on a free transfer, as his contract with the Cherries comes to an end whenever this season finishes.
But there is bad news for the Hammers. The Scotland international wants to join Tottenham (Mirror).
Fraser was in outstanding form for Bournemouth last season, with seven goals and 14 assists in 38 Premier League games to his name.
His form has dropped off this term, however, with just one goal and four assists in 27 league games (Transfermarkt).
He could still rediscover his best form of course. And his availability on a free might make him one of the bargains of the summer.
And that will prove very attractive to both Tottenham and West Ham.
According to the Mirror, however, Spurs have a massive advantage over the Hammers in the race to sign Fraser.
Missing out on the 26-year-old will be a big blow for David Moyes. Eddie Howe will not want to lose the pacy winger either.
But at the same time, Jose Mourinho will be delighted if he gets his hands on the Scot this summer.
