It really was West Ham UNITED at Everton from the players to the fans and a brilliant picture from the game proves it.

West Ham finally won their first Premier League points under Manuel Pellegrini with a 3-1 victory at Everton on Sunday.

A brace from Andriy Yarmolenko and one from Marko Arnautovic secured Pellegrini’s first league win since taking over in the summer.

The three points lifted the Hammers off the foot of the fledgling table.

But what will have pleased West Ham supporters more was the togetherness on display.

Smells like team spirit

The doom-mongers coming out in force after West Ham’s dreadful start.

Pellegrini was even made second favourite for the sack.

Despite that West Ham fans packed out the away end at Goodison Park and outsung the Toffees fans.

That spirit was reflected in the players who, to a man, gave their all to earn a superb and deserved victory.

There were some great goals and moments during the win.

And nothing encapsulated the spirit and togetherness more than this great picture captured during the game.

Picture perfect

The image shows delirious Hammers fans in focus in the background celebrating as Issa Diop, Pedro Obiang, Felipe Anderson, Declan Rice and Arthur Masuaku embrace Marko Arnautovic following his crucial goal which made it 3-1.

Besides the Everton stewards, there is not a person in shot who isn’t sporting a huge grin.

The picture paints a thousand words and screams relief for the long suffering players and fans who have had to wait a month for their first Premier League win of a new campaign that promised so much.

Pellegrini implemented a new system and it certainly made a difference.

West Ham looked more secure.

They worked as a team unit from defence to attack and looked much more solid at the back and a threat going forward.

There is plenty of hope for the rest of the season.

Watch out Chelsea.
