Yarmolenko’s last appearance for West Ham came on December 14th against Southampton. He has only played 25 games for the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium in the summer of 2018.

Football Insider claimed earlier this year that West Ham could be prepared to sell the former Dortmund ace for a big loss this summer, however.

The Hammers ace has told Ukrainian media outlet footballua.tv that he has no intention of leaving east London at the moment though. Although he refused to rule out a return to Dynamo Kyiv in the future:

“I feel fine at West Ham, I feel the support of fans. I like everything here. At present, I want to stay here. As long as there is strength and desire to work, I will continue to play football. Dynamo is my home team. Let’s see what happens in the future, how things develop, but I don’t rule out the option of returning to Kyiv. If they need me, I’m always happy to help.”

Yarmolenko has never lived up to expectations since joining West Ham.

If the Hammers have the opportunity to move him on when the transfer window re-opens, they should perhaps do just that.

He has obvious talent. But just hasn’t been consistent enough.

And despite his comments, his time at West Ham could very well be coming to an end.
