The left wing-back was in superb form for the Hammers against Wolves last night. He was a major contributing factor behind David Moyes’ side beating Wolves 4-0 at the London Stadium.

It seems as though the Scot has found a system that works. It’s a solid and structurely sound 5-4-1 when we are defending and a fluid, interchangeable 3-4-3 when we’re attacking.

Masuaku is key to that system. But so is another player – Declan Rice.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from West Ham this summer, with the latest reports claiming that Chelsea are ready to make a big bid for the England international (The Sun).

It will be so important for the Hammers to keep hold of Rice, however. He was brilliant yet again last night, making interceptions all over the place and initiating attacks with his quick, crisp and incisive passing.

The official West Ham Twitter account posted the blow picture after last night’s 4-0 win:

And Arthur Masuaku responded:

West Ham have been a club in crisis over the past few weeks. Turmoil has surrounded the London Stadium since the end of last season.

But all of a sudden, after last night’s win, the London Stadium seems to be a lot happier. Most of us are still in the #GSBOUT camp of course. And we always will be until they are gone.

But we must support the team, as long as the players put in the effort.

Let’s hope West Ham keep Rice in east London this summer. And if that happens, we might just enjoy a successful Premier League season.
