Grady Diangana showed exactly what West Ham are missing on a cold Monday night in Stoke.

West Bromwich Albion moved to the top of the Championship with a 2-0 win over bottom club Stoke City on Monday evening. Diangana was the key to this victory and he produced an incredible performance in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Slaven Bilic started Diangana on the left-wing and it didn’t take long before he made a telling impact. Inside the first few minutes, he beat his marker and put an exquisite ball into the box which Charlie Austin failed to tap in.

Moments later, Diangana helped the Baggies take the lead. The 21-year-old played a one-two with Jake Livermore, shrugged off the defenders and rolled a perfect ball across the face of the goal for Matt Phillips to tap in.

Stoke came back in the second half and were pushing for an equaliser. But Diangana had other ideas. The left-footed playmaker produced an exquisite piece of skill inside the box to nutmeg Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Spurs loanee Carter-Vickers came flying in with a reckless challenge and Diangana was upended. West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu then stepped up and converted the penalty. Here are some West Brom fans discussing Diangana’s display.
