West Ham sent Grady Diangana on loan to West Bromwich Albion on deadline day. And Slaven Bilic gave him his debut in the First Round of the EFL Cup last night.
Diangana played 70 minutes before being replaced by Romaine Sawyers. He faced up against West Ham’s bitter rivals Millwall and would have been hoping to impress.
West Brom fans seemed satisfied with his performance despite West Brom’s loss. The Baggies crashed out of the cup in the first round after blowing a one-goal lead and losing 2-1.
Grady Diangana shines on debut
Diangana made an instant impression as his fierce shot was tipped onto the crossbar before Charlie Austin headed home the rebound on nine minutes.
The 21-year-old created a few more chances before he was taken off in the second half. It was a promising start for Diangana, who need to use this season to show Manuel Pellegrini what he can do.
Last season, Diangana broke into the first-team after netting twice in the EFL Cup on his debut. The England U20 starlet played over 20 games for West Ham last season but has now been sent to The Hawthorns.
West Brom fans on Grady Diangana
Austin looked good but not quite match fit. Diangana impressive and furlong had a decent game. Didn’t see what was wrong with our 2nd goal.. as for Oli burke absolutely shocking.

I thought Edwards and Diangana looked excellent in the first half, Furling solid. Austin did a few intelligent things. Semi and Townsend were ok.
Burke’s not the answer to any question, seems to always be a few metres from where we need him. Harper average,
Not all bad.

Edwards good he and Diangana terrorised them st times and yes full backs were good crossing woeful though and Harper didn’t do much wrong the one next to him who can’t read the play properly

Diangana is very skilful and useful Austin looks very bright like his up for the challenge and he’s passionate I think he’ll come in clutch

Charlie Austin will score goals this season
Grady Diangana is really good maybe he will be our next Harvey Barnes and Matheus Pereira looked good when he came on and need to give Kenneth Zohore time and Hal Robson-Kanu just not a goalscorer
Chris Willock is good

Diangana is a quality little player, we lost any threat of goal after Austin came off unsurprisingly
