Trevor Sinclair praised West Ham ace Aaron Cresswell for his solid performances this season, when speaking on talkSPORT yesterday (23rd October, 9.20am).

Hammers fans were pleading with David Moyes to sign a new left-back before the start of the season.
The 30-year-old Liverpool born defender, who arrived from Ipswich Town for £4 million in the summer of 2014 (Mirror) was a target for heavy criticism from the club’s fans.
Cresswell seemed to be past his best. At 30, his best days we clearly behind him. Certainly from a physical perspective.
But everything changed after West Ham’s 2-0 opening day defeat to Newcastle United.
David Moyes switched to a 3-4-3/5-4-1 system away at Arsenal. And Cresswell was utilised as the left-sided central defender.
The former Ipswich Town ace has been really impressive. His defending has been calm and assured and he has had a key role to play in West Ham’s attacking play as well.
The 30-year-old has racked up three assists in five Premier League games already this season (Transfermarkt).
And Sinclair told talkSPORT how Cresswell has surprised him this season:
“David Moyes has done a superb job, the way he’s changed the formation. Would you have said at the start of the season that Cresswell would be a great left-sided defender? I wouldn’t. He’s gone in there and he looks so composed.”
West Ham face Manchester City at the London Stadium this afternoon. And Cresswell will need to be on his very best form if we are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Pep Guardiola’s side.
Cresswell has certainly proved a lot of people wrong so far this season. And long may it continue.
