Reece Oxford has been spotted in pre-season training with West Ham. Many expected him to leave but he is still at the club and he will be eager to impress in pre-season.
Last season, he did not impress Manuel Pellegrini. Big things were expected after he returned from a loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach but he did not make the matchday squad once.
Even when Pellegrini handed debuts to a host of youngsters (Grady Diangana, Conor Coventry and Joe Powell) against Macclesfield Town, Oxford was not in the squad.
This forced the 20-year-old to seek a January loan exit. He headed to Augsburg in the German Bundesliga, where he had a mixed spell. Ahead of this summer, few expected him to return to West Ham.
Reece Oxford nearly leaves West Ham

Earlier this summer, a permanent move to Augsburg broke down over personal terms. West Brom and Middlesbrough have since entered the race, according to The Telegraph.
However, it seems that Pellegrini will give Oxford one final chance to impress in pre-season. If he can fulfil his potential, the England U20 centre-back or holding midfielder could save West Ham a lot of money.
But he has divided opinion among West Ham fans for a few seasons now. And yet again, the Hammers fanbase is torn; should Oxford stay or should he leave?
