'To dare is to do' - West Ham U18 starlet Sam Caiger mocks Tottenham after 3-2 victory

West Ham’s U18 team beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in an interesting game. The Hammers went ahead twice but were pegged back on both occasions. However, Sam Caiger scored the winner for the Hammers.

Veron Parkes and Kai Corbett had netted West Ham’s two other goals but Caiger stole the headlines. He netted a 77th-minute winner and he certainly enjoyed it. Caiger even sent a tweet mocking Spurs.

Quoting a report about the game, Caiger said: “To dare is to do. Good win from the boys today and happy to score the winner.

The future looks bright

West Ham’s U18 team picked up an impressive victory and there are several players to be watching out for. Corbett opened the scoring, after netting for the U23s against Newport County, and he is an exciting young midfielder.

The second goal was scored by Veron Parkes. The 17-year-old is a striker or a winger and he also scored in that game against Newport. Parkes is highly-rated by the club and he is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Keenan Appiah-Forson, 17, is also included after playing against Valencia B last week for the U23s. He is a central midfielder but he made his competitive U23 debut at right-back. There are plenty of young Hammers to get excited about.
