West Ham were superb last night, beating Wolves 4-0 at the London Stadium.
In other news…ExWHUemployee claims London club have offered defender to West Ham
It has been a tumultuous transfer window so far this this summer for the Hammers.
Tensions between the board and the fans have been simmering and they recently reached boiling point.
But just like magic, feelings are all of a sudden riding high. The fans and players were buzzing after last night’s win.
We have not forgotten about the #GSBOUT movement. That is still very much alive and well. But while things are good and we at least look like a good side to watch, Moyes must act now and make a marquee double signing.
Timing now right to make double deal happen
West Ham have allegedly been tracking James Tarkowski for the past month or so.
The Telegraph reported three weeks ago that the Hammers made a £27 million bid for the 27-year-old – one that the Clarets swiftly rejected.
The Evening Standard then suggested that West Ham made an improved offer for the Burnley man.
ExWHUemployee confirmed those claims by suggesting that the east London club are prepared to bid in excess of £30 million for Tarkowski.
Perhaps West Ham will need to pay £35 million or even £40 million for the 27-year-old. But we need to just get it done. The English centre-back will improve our defence immeasurably.
Another player we have apparently been after all summer is Brentford ace Said Benrahma.
Le 10 Sport reported last week that the Hammers are still very much in the race to sign the 25-year-old flyer.
West Ham have the making of a very good side now. Add Tarkowski and Benrahma to Moyes’s starting line-up and it we can really start to get excited.
Moyes may have to sell another player, potentially Manuel Lanzini, if he is to sign both players mentioned. But he just needs to get it done.
And if West Ham do bring the Burnley and Brentford stars to the London Stadium, we might just enjoy a successful Premier League campaign after all.
