Manuel Pellegrini’s striker situation is becoming something of a concern with one month until the window closes.
West Ham have been chasing strikers all summer after letting Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez and now Marko Arnautovic leave (whufc.com).

Pellegrini on tenterhooks over strikers
That leaves just Javier Hernandez at the club and he too has been linked with a move away.
West Ham have been chasing a host of forwards.
Maxi Gomez has been their prime target (Evening Standard).
But Salomon Rondon and Aleksandar Mitrovic have also been heavily linked.
Mitrovic signed a new deal with Fulham on Sunday and Rondon has been linked with a move to China (The Sun).
And should West Ham fail with their bid for Gomez they will have to turn to one of the alternatives on Pellegrini’s list.

Rangers boss Gerrard fires Morelos warning
“I can’t control the speculation and as a club we haven’t got a decision to make because a bid hasn’t come in,” Gerrard told Sky Sports.
“Do I think something will happen? Possibly, but that’s me guessing and trying to predict the future.
“Does anyone want Alfredo Morelos? I don’t know, I can’t answer that question. But if they do they best bring a really big offer.
“If someone wants to spend a lot of money on a centre-forward they’ll have to come early, because it won’t happen late. If he did end up going he’d be impossible to replace with days or weeks to go in the window.
“We don’t want him to go but every player has a price. I’m not going to sit here and say he’s not going out the door, because if a bid lands that the board like and they want to accept, it’s a completely different conversation. But that hasn’t happened. There hasn’t been one single bid.”

Gerrard piles on the pressure over Gomez pursuit
The fiery 23-year-old Colombian has a fantastic record of a goal every other game for Rangers with 48 in 91 appearances.
His overall career record makes even more impressive reading with 100 senior goals already from just 178 games.
Nicknamed El Buffalo, Morelos does have something of a volatile streak, though, picking up several red cards in his fledgling career.
