West Ham beat Southampton 3-0 to record back-to-back Premier League wins and clean sheets. Marko Arnautovic returned with a brace and Ryan Fredericks rounded the game off in style.

With little to play for this season, Manuel Pellegrini had the chance to look at some West Ham fringe players.

And with Declan Rice and Felipe Anderson out with illness, it gave Pedro Obiang and Grady Diangana a chance to impress.

Diangana burst onto the scene earlier this season when he scored twice on his debut. That was in the EFL Cup against Macclesfield Town and he has since been in and out of the first-team.

The 21-year-old started his sixth Premier League game, taking his total appearance tally to 17 league matches and 21 first-team games in total.

His performances have been mixed this season, showing glimpses of talent but also frustrating some fans with parts of his game.

It is all part of the learning curve for the England U20 starlet. And he would have enjoyed returning to the starting line-up against Southampton.

But his performance was perceived differently by some Hammers fans. Here are some tweets describing his display.
