Charlton Athletic midfielder Darren Pratley has praised West Ham loanee Josh Cullen, News Shopper reports.
In an interview with News Shopper, Pratley poured praise on his Charlton team-mate and predicted big things for the future.
Cullen is on a season-long loan with League One side Charlton, where he is currently preparing for the play-offs.
The 23-year-old recently scored his first goal for the Addicks and he has been an instrumental part of their plans in central midfield.
Darren Pratley on Josh Cullen
Pratley took the time out to praise his fellow central midfielder Cullen. He believes the Republic of Ireland under-21 captain has a big future in the game.
The 34-year-old told News Shopper: “I played with Josh at Bolton, he’s a very good player, very tidy on the ball. It was a good choice for him to come to Charlton. We play good football, the manager plays him every week, he’s getting game time and he’s playing well.”
Pratley predicts big things for Cullen in the future, as well as another Charlton midfielder, Joe Aribo. He added: “The sky’s the limit for them both.”
Josh Cullen: Future at West Ham?
In a recent interview, Cullen confirmed he wanted to break into the West Ham team. He revealed he will return to East London for pre-season and hopes to feature in Manuel Pellegrini’s 2019/20 plans.
Cullen told London News Online: “I’ve always said that the main focus is to go back to West Ham and get a first-team place there. I’ll go back. They want me back to go and do pre-season and try and make my time there successful. Get in the first-team and warrant that place. That’s what I’m looking to do and hopefully that will happen.”
West Ham are in the market for a new central midfielder. But Cullen will be hoping to provide them with the answer when he returns from Charlton.
