West Ham United have been linked with a move to bring former goalkeeper Darren Randolph back to the club in January.
Randolph played second fiddle to Adrian for much of his time at West Ham.
But the Republic of Ireland star did enjoy a number of runs in the first team where his shot-stopping impressed.
The Hammers reluctantly sold Randolph to Middlesbrough for £5million in 2017.
At the time then manager Slaven Bilic told whufc.com: “Darren is a very good goalkeeper, and I didn’t want him to leave. However, I could not guarantee him regular first team football and, with the possibility of playing at the World Cup for the Republic of Ireland next summer, he wanted to take up the offer from Middlesbrough.

West Ham reluctantly let Randolph leave
“We didn’t think it was right to deny him this opportunity to establish himself as a No1 playing every week in the Championship, but I am sorry to see him go and I wish him all the very best in the future.”
Lukasz Fabianski is head and shoulders West Ham’s number one these days.
But during his long-term injury lay-off West Ham have struggled with the hapless Roberto costing them dear.

Randolph’s return talks true claims site’s insider source
The Spaniard has been dubbed the worst player in West Ham’s 125-year history.
And he has since been replaced by third choice goalkeeper David Martin in the West Ham first team.
With Fabianski out until the new year and Roberto expected to be shipped out in January, attentions have turned to a new number two.
And an exclusive report from 90Min.com on Sunday claimed West Ham have entered talks with ‘Boro about Randolph’s return.
Some supporters scoffed at the claim.

‘Talks have indeed started’
But West Ham website Claret & Hugh, which regularly claims to have a ‘top level source’ inside the club – believed to be co-owner David Sullivan – has confirmed the rumours are true.
“Club sources have confirmed to Claret and Hugh that talks have indeed started with Middlesborough,” C&H claim.
“A Hammers source explained to us by email that the club see him as the perfect back-up keeper and given the Boro’s position (19th in the Championship), he could easily be up for a move back to the Hammers.”
