West Ham Women progressed to the next round of the FA Cup with a comeback victory over Blackburn Ladies.

In the Fourth Round of the Women’s FA Cup, West Ham hosted Blackburn at Rush Green.

There was early disappointment for the Hammers as Natasha Flint put the visitors 1-0 up inside the first 15 minutes.

But just before half-time, West Ham were back level. Adriana Leon, a 26-year-old January addition, scored at the second time of asking to level the scores on the brink of half-time.

It then took until the 72nd minute for West Ham to take the lead. And it was Brianna Visalli who struck the goal.

The 23-year-old lobbed the Blackburn goalkeeper to give West Ham the lead for the first time in the game.

And then Leon was on hand to secure to West Ham’s place in the next round. The Canadian forward notched her brace with just over 10 minutes to go.

It was a tremendous win for West Ham Women, made even more special because they have bettered the men’s FA Cup attempt this season.

West Ham’s first-team crashed out against League One’s bottom club AFC Wimbledon with an embarrassing 4-2 win.

Here are what West Ham fans are saying after the Women went one better than the men and won their Fourth Round FA Cup tie.
