Claret and Hugh have claimed that a report stating that West Ham are leading the race to sign Chelsea hitman Michy Batshuayi is well wide of the mark.

The Express have claimed that the Hammers are in front of Crystal Palace and Newcastle in the race to sign the £40 million rated Blues striker.
David Moyes will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium at the end of the season.
Albian Ajeti quite simply isn’t good enough. And Sebastien Haller needs more support or at the very least, adequate competition.
And it would be no surprise if West Ham were indeed interested in signing Batshuayi. The east London outfit have tracked the Belgium international since 2016 after all (NBC).
And that will surely please West Ham fans. The majority of the Hammers faithful have been angered in the past by Batshuayi turning down moves to east London on numerous occasions.
It could also be argued that the 26-year-old actually isn’t a top class striker.
His time in England has proven that he isn’t good enough to score on a consistent basis in the Premier League. That may sound a little harsh. But the numbers don’t lie.
The Belgian has racked up just 25 goals and six assists in 77 games for the Blues (Transfermarkt).
West Ham could and should be aiming a lot higher.
And at the very least, they should be looking for more value for money in the transfer market this summer.
