Said Benrahma says joining West Ham was a dream move for him

Said Benrahma claimed that it was it dream to join West Ham United, when speaking to the club’s official website.

The 25-year-old ended up joining he Hammers on a permanent £25 million deal last month, having spent the previous three months at the London Stadium on a £4 million loan deal (Eurosport).

Despite being eased into life at West Ham slowly by David Moyes, Benrahma has now firmly established himself as one of the Scot’s most important players.

The Algeria international has racked up four assists in 18 games for West Ham.

He is still waiting for his first goal but it hasn’t been through a lack of trying.

Benrahma’s time will come, he just needs to keep patient and continue to work hard.

Said Benrahma dreamed of West Ham move

He certainly seems to be at home at the London Stadium already.

The 25-year-old winger spoke to WHUFC.com and suggested that joining West Ham was a dream for him:

“When West Ham came knocking, I didn’t hang about. I was really excited. That was my aim, that was my dream and my family’s dream, you know. I made a promise to my father, God rest his soul, and for the moment, I’m happy because I think that he’d be proud. As long as I know that I’m making my family proud, I’m happy.”

Benrahma has proven to be an excellent addition for the Hammers.

The Algerian offers West Ham something that we do not otherwise possess. Let’s just hope that he gets the monkey off his back and opens his account for us sooner rather than later.

And once Benrahma’s first goal comes, the floodgates will undoubtedly open up for the mercurial winger.
