West Ham United defender Ryan Fredericks has revealed how Mark Noble inspired the team to victory before their game at Tottenham.

The Hammers became the first away team to score and more importantly win at the glorious  new home of bitter rivals Spurs.

Bragging rights secured

The result gives the Hammers a place in the history books and cherished bragging rights.
It also means Spurs face an anxious run in to try and hold on to a Champions League spot.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side played well to a man.
But skipper Noble was the one who inspired the team with a rousing pre-match speech according to teammate Fredericks (whufc.com).

‘Rousing Noble speech inspired us’

“The captain Mark Noble gave a really good speech before the game which geed everyone up and he made it clear what the fans think about this game,” Fredericks told the club’s official site.

“Mark was quality today, he’s been quality all the season.

“He’s a great leader and a great man.”

Proof if it were needed that Noble is indeed a West Ham legend.

Noble underlines legend status

The captain is often made a scapegoat when things aren’t going well.

But his performance against Tottenham will go down in folklore.

The day Mr West Ham played like Pirlo to put West Ham’s stamp on Tottenham’s new ground, just like they did on Highbury and the Emirates.
