Rio Ferdinand has lauded Mark Noble’s superb display against Norwich today. West Ham were absolutely magnificent. David Moyes’s side earned a brilliant three points with a comfortable 4-0 win at Carrow Road.

Michail Antonio will get all the headlines. And rightly so. But Mark Noble deserves a lot of credit as well.
And Rio Ferdinand raved about the Hammers skipper, when speaking during BT Sport’s broadcast of today’s game (Saturday July 11th, 14:26):
“Antonio will get all the headlines but Mark Noble in midfield, creating, dictating. Magnificent today.”
Many West Ham fans have been critical of the club captain this season. And loads were fuming on Twitter when they saw his name included in the starting XI before today’s game. Me included.
I have to hold my hands up, however. The 33-year-old was superb today. And sometimes it is easy to forget what he brings to the team.
Noble bleeds claret and blue, and his commitment and passion is unrivalled. It has to be noted, however, that he is also a great technician. And the 33-year-old proved that today.
In truth, Noble has nothing left to prove to us fans. But perhaps he just deserves more love and respect.
David Moyes got plenty of stick for starting Noble today in the build-up to the game. But it turns out that it was 100% the right decision.
Well done David. You got this one right.
