West Ham will not cut Jack Wilshere’s contract short, according to Claret and Hugh.
Despite Wilshere’s persistent injury problems, West Ham have no intention of paying him off. There is still over 18 months remaining on his three-year deal and he earns wages of £100k-per-week.
West Ham signed Wilshere on a free transfer from Arsenal in summer 2018 and Manuel Pellegrini rates him highly. Although he missed last weekend through injury, there is a hope that he can regain his full fitness and make a difference.
The Hammers will not allow Wilshere to leave on loan or find an agreement with another club. The former England star will also not be released prematurely. Claret & Hugh’s source says: “We honour contracts and make no decision on ending or extending until them until they are approaching their end.”
Wilshere woes continue

Wilshere has not had a successful spell at West Ham since his free transfer to his boyhood club. The 27-year-old has only managed 16 appearances for the Hammers, including 14 in the league.
The left-footed midfielder was injured for most of last season and he has had his issues this season. Despite looking like West Ham’s best player in pre-season, he has been limited to eight appearances this season.
His only goal so far has come in the cup against Newport County. And Wilshere was left out of the squad against Sheffield United due to an unspecified injury. It is just the latest setback after a miserable stint at West Ham so far.
