According to a report from the Daily Mail, West Ham are interested in signing Getafe midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic this month.
The Hammers are relatively weak in the middle of the park, and the addition of a young, talented central midfielder will be of paramount importance this month.
And the Daily Mail claims that the 24-year-old Getafe ace is a potential option for West Ham.
Good signing for the Hammers
The 19-capped Serbia international is a really strong central midfielder.
Standing at 6ft 2in tall and powerfully built, he seems to be ready made for the robust nature of the Premier League.
He has become a key figure for both Getafe and Serbia, and his playing style could be likened to Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Maksimovic is primarily a holding midfielder but that does not mean that he isn’t very good on the ball.
The Getafe man possesses great vision and an impressive array of passing.
He is at an age where he will still surely improve even further still, and he would be a very sensible addition for West Ham.
Maksimovic would certainly add a more physical aspect to the Hammers’ engine room. And his presence would add a certain level of solidarity to their defensive play.
The Serbian would be a very useful signing for West Ham. And should be someone who David Moyes really prioritises this month.
