West Ham will consider Chris Wilder as a potential Manuel Pellegrini replacement, The Mirror reports.
Pellegrini has serially underperformed this season and West Ham have not won a match since September. West Ham are now in danger of dropping into the relegation dogfight and Pellegrini could lose his job.
West Ham have thought about a number of alternatives. According to a report by The Guardian yesterday, Rafa Benitez, Chris Hughton, Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche are options.
Wilder is the newest name linked with the West Ham job. He has worked wonders at Sheffield United and West Ham could turn to him as they seek improvement in results.
Chris Wilder’s stunning record

Wilder won promotion with Northampton Town in 2016 before immediately moving to Sheffield United. It is Wilder’s boyhood club and he wanted the chance to lift a sleeping giant out of a slump.
In his first season, Wilder led the Blades to promotion from League One. The following season was spent establishing the club in the Championship. Then, in 2018/19, he took Sheffield United back to the Premier League.
With a relatively small budget, Wilder has done an amazing job. Sheffield United sit sixth and have played some very attractive football. They look like a force to be reckoned with.
But why would Wilder leave Sheffield United to join West Ham? The 52-year-old is a hero at Bramall Lane, he is a fan of the club and Sheffield United are doing so well. Why would he throw that away mid-season to take on a potential relegation battle with the Irons?
