According to a report from Football Insider, West Ham plan to sell Winston Reid in the summer.
The 31-year-old is currently on loan with MLS side Sporting Kansas City until the end of the season.
Reid experienced horrendous injury problems over the past two years, and hasn’t played a senior game for the Hammers since March 2018.
The 25-capped New Zealand international joined West Ham from FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2010 for around £5 million (Eurosport).
And the centre-back has gone on to establish himself as a real fan favourite in east London, in spite of his problems with injuries.
Football Insider claims that the Hammers will try to move Reid on permanently in the summer, however.
The 31-year-old has made 223 appearances for West Ham, with 166 of those coming in the Premier League.
In those league games, Reid has racked up 242 tackles with an incredible success rate of 79%, 348 interceptions and 1,301 clearances (premierleague.com).
He has been a real leader at the back for the Hammers, and his presence will undoubtedly be missed, if he does end up leaving on a permanent basis.
