The Hammers sold Grady Diangana to West Brom for around £20 million. And those funds need to be reinvested into strengthening our defence.

Felipe Anderson has also been linked with an exit, however, with Arsenal being named as a potential destination (The Mirror).

And if the Brazilian is sold or loaned out, it could be argued that David Moyes needs to bring another left sided winger to the London Stadium.

Calcio Mercato claims that Gremio ace Pepe is on the West Ham boss’s radar.

Stats

The 23-year-old was in fine form for Gremio last season. He racked up nine goals and three assists in 37 appearances (Transfermarkt).

The Brazilian winger is of slight build and his game is built around trickery and pace. He is similar to Everton’s Bernard in style and stature.

Pepe could be available for just £13 million this summer (Calcio Mercato). And that would represent excellent value for the Hammers.

We should only be moving to sign him if we do indeed decide to move Anderson on, however.

It will be more important for Moyes to sign a left-back, right-back, centre-back and centre-forward this summer.
