Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claimed last week that the Hammers are keen to bring the former Chelsea man back to the Premier League.

Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Torino valued the 23-year-old at around €18 million (£15.7 million).

But now Calcio Mercato are suggesting that West Ham might be able to pick the Nigeria international up for a discounted fee – somewhere around €10 million (£8.7 million).

So would Aina be a good signing for the Hammers?

The 23-year-old joined the Serie A outfit from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 for around £9 million (Goal).

And he has really impressed with Torino.

In 20 Serie A appearances this season, Aina has racked up one assist (Who Scored).

During those outings, the 23-year-old has averaged 1.4 tackles, 1.7 interceptions and 1.3 clearances.

He has also attempted 0.8 dribbles per game during those matches (Who Scored).

Aina is extremely versatile. He can operate at either right-back or left-back.

He can also be deployed further up the pitch on the right or left side of midfield.

And the Nigerian was highly rated by his former manager Jose Mourinho (Daily Mail).

For just £8.7 million, the 23-year-old would surely be a great value signing for West Ham. And he would certainly provide stiff competition for Ryan Fredericks and Jermey Ngakia.
