Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier this year that the Hammers and the Toffees both want to sign the 23-year-old at the end of this season.
David Moyes will be keen to add a new right-back to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
And the same can be said of Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park.
And Aina could be just the man for the job at either West Ham or Everton.
The 23-year-old joined the Serie A outfit from Chelsea in the summer of 2019 for around £9 million (Goal).
It seems as though the Italian side are already prepared to cut their losses on the ex-Blues ace, hwoever.
Stats
In 24 Serie A appearances this season, Aina has racked up two assists (Who Scored).
During those outings, the 23-year-old has averaged 1.3 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.3 clearances.
He has also attempted 0.7 dribbles per game during those matches (Who Scored).
In all fairness, those are not the most impressive of statistics. So signing him will undoubtedly be gamble for West Ham or Everton.
The right-back is still at an age where he has plenty of time left ahead to improve further still, however.
And if given the right coaching, there is obviously a chance that Aina could become a top class right-back. The Southwark born defender has all of the raw ingredients needed to succeed after all.
Whether the Hammers or the Toffees will be prepared to pay £9 million to sign the former Chelsea man, however, remains to be seen.
